How it works

Match the journey, then confirm the people.

OnWay is designed around route overlap, timing, available capacity and mutual confirmation between drivers and passengers.

Passenger flow

Choose what you need

Passenger Ride, Goods/Parcel Transport or Document Delivery.

Select timing and vehicle

Travel Now or choose a future time. Passenger rides can filter Bike, Tuk, Car or Van.

Enter pickup and destination

OnWay searches for suitable routes, timing and available capacity.

Compare matching options

Review route fit, estimated arrival, vehicle information, rating, membership and expected charge.

Confirm the ride

Once both sides agree, the booking becomes confirmed and trip tools become available.

Driver flow

Register & verify

Add driver identity, licence, vehicle, insurance and required supporting documents.

Create a ride

Schedule a future journey or publish a Current Ride / Ride Now.

Set capacity & services

Seats, luggage, parcels, documents, route flexibility and detour limits.

Review matching passengers

See pickup, drop-off, route impact, luggage, reputation and estimated contribution.

Accept and complete

Confirm the passenger, follow trip status steps and complete the journey.

When no ride is selected

Passengers can post an open ride request.

This creates a second direction of matching: instead of only passengers finding drivers, suitable drivers can find passenger requests.

Passenger posts a request

Pickup, destination, date/time, vehicle type, passengers, luggage and relevant notes.

Matching drivers are notified

Drivers currently travelling or scheduling a compatible route can see the request in their dashboard.

Driver shows interest

The driver reviews route impact and selects the passenger request.

Passenger confirms

The passenger sees the driver and vehicle information and chooses whether to confirm.

Booking is created

Both sides receive ride information, status updates and trip communication tools.

Apps Coming Soon

Driver and Passenger experiences, designed separately.

These simple interface previews show the direction of the two mobile apps. Final app screens will evolve during product design and development.

Important ride concepts

Simple terms used by OnWay.

Route overlap

How much of the driver's planned route matches the passenger's required route.

Detour

Extra distance or time the driver would travel away from the normal route for pickup or drop-off.

ETA

Estimated Time of Arrival at the pickup point, destination or delivery point.

No-show

A confirmed driver or passenger does not appear and does not properly cancel.

Exclusive ride

A passenger can reserve the remaining available seats under the configured exclusive-seat pricing rule.

SOS

An emergency alert designed to share current ride and location details with the OnWay safety process.

Goods & documents

A journey can carry more than passengers.

Where drivers opt in, users can request transport of permitted goods, parcels or documents along a compatible route.

Request

Add sender, recipient, pickup, delivery point, item description, size/weight, timing and handling notes.

Handover & delivery

Pickup and delivery can use confirmation steps such as OTP/PIN, photos or proof of delivery depending on configured rules.
